The standard outlines a set of requirements that organisations must meet in order to be certified. Once certified (by means of an independent audit), businesses can use the ISO 9001 logo to show their commitment to quality and continual improvement across all of their business processes. Neither ISO 9001, nor 27001, relate to specific products or services and are not ‘accreditations’ as such.
